A surprise thunderstorm hit San Diego on Sept 16, 2014, with temperatures in the upper 90s to 100+.
I saw clouds as they were arriving and knew we were in for some dramatic weather. Was videoing the rain when the wind began to increase dramatically. Then suddenly a lighning strike extremely close went off right next to my location.
