MARENOL is a dubstep song by LeaF, made for the G2R2018 Climax BMS competition. The song is a notorious entry into G2R2018 due to its extremely distrubing background movie (made by animators Optie and Fiz), which contains multiple gory scenes. While the song itself isn't all that scary, the added ambience of the background movie made playing the song more unsettling than it is. The song itself deviates from LeaF's usual breakcore style, but is still present via its glitchy sounds that play throughout. The BMS chart is also known for having a polyrhythm with quintuplets (and later septuplets) in the last verse, being described by LeaF as "like playing at 140BPM and 175BPM at the same time".
