Surprise! Happy birthday! This is basically what happens when you log onto a studio forum one day and see your friend is the last person to comment on the birthday thread, so you click out of curiosity and find out its over a month away so youre like, thats doable. XD Anyways, today is Moonyxs birthday so I made a short Voltron vid to Heres To Never Growing Up by Avril Lavigne. I was originally going to do Lotura, especially after season 6, but I wanted to do fluff not depressing angst, and it just wasnt working so I swapped to this because Ive had this edit in my head since series 5. I hope you like it, and that youve had a great day! Not only are you a lovely person, youre also crazy talented at editing and drawing. I know youve been editing for, like, couple years now (??), but it doesnt feel like that long ago when you started, and wow did you get seriously good so quick! I can get so much inspiration from it. And suddenly I have tons of live action editing inspiration which is...highly unusual. XD I cant believe Ive finished a live action edit thats not an mep part and over a minute (by one whole second!), and Im just really happy with how it turned out, even though using it still feels pretty unwieldy at times. I also may have overdone the voiceovers a little bit? Because Im an idiot, I originally edited the wrong part, but by some miracle (because I do not believe that I knew what my part sounded like when I downloaded the audio because my memory isnt that good), it was like 75% the same so I could just cut and paste everything from try it to woo, woo, woo, and then just Frankenstein-ed the rest of what Id done to make this part. The mep came out amazing, though!

My Barry/Iris part is super ugly, I changed couples twice, and the outcome is passable. The Finn/Poe part was like babys first space theme and was considerably more tame than how Infinity turned out.

Six months of nothing, and Im back again! This time with a CCS worm part thats basically the length of a full edit for me so I figured I would upload it on its own. Plus, Im actually super happy with how this turned out. This has been cooking on and off (mostly off for March-June) since February, and all the chipping away was worth it! The theme of the worm was the your most played song of 2022, and Meet Me at Our Spot was mine. I still love this song so much, and it was so much fun to edit with it.

My entry for DannyPhantomSG1s non/Disney favourite character contest using Rapunzel from Tangled to Looking Up by SafetySuit. I originally showed up to see if I could edit my boy Miles because Ive seen him in non/disney edits, and I feel comfortable with the idea of editing Marvel, but he was already taken, and I thought itd be fun to enter, so I decided to edit my favourite Disney princess instead. I felt a bit nervous editing Disney given I dont normally do that, and the non/disney community is so talented its kind of intimidating, but Im super happy with how this turned out. I also managed to finish this and achieve my one goal: having fun and not getting stressed!
Me being me, I am amazed that I finished this with five days to spare before the deadline, and I switched songs multiple times and didnt start really editing about two weeks ago even though Ive had, like, two months. I only made a major breakthrough on Tuesday, and I was feeling very proud of being productive until I found an email in my spam on Wednesday that told me I should have been at a webinar about the grad scheme I just got on so... thankfully it wasnt compulsory, and they emailed round a recording.
Anyway, Tangled is one of my favourite Disney movies, and Rapunzel is my favourite Disney princess, although I think it was the animated series that pushed her above Belle. Im not really good at character studies or anything like that, so I ended up just picking a song that I thought fit her personality and what I like about her. I have types of favourite characters: angsty people that need redemption arcs, people with anxiety/mental health problems and balls of sunshine who are positive forces of good in the world. Rapunzel is the latter, and I just admire her optimism, her unwavering drive and how she brings out the best in others. I dont think the edit really showcases this, but I just thought the song embodied her overall spirit.

Happy Halloween! I dont know if this is a trick or a treat as its super long. Octobers been a month, new laptop, new job, and were going back into lockdown... Im really happy with how this part turned out. This is my first part with Carnival of Rust Studios where we edit the emo music of my teenage years. I had some troubles getting the neon & paint aesthetic down, but I felt like it really pushed me editing-wise, and thats what I really want.

I normally edit Roshanna for these MEPs because actual, canon asexual character, buuuut cosmic soul did an ace/aro edit for Pride, I believe, and they included Misumi, and I just 100% accept that headcanon. It totally fits with his personality, and his interest in the director is the lowest, and he mostly just seems happy to have friends. Also, hell yeah to an annual aspec awareness MEP.
