For Grand Rounds, we have another Clinical Problem Solving (CPS) case to allow listeners to watch in real time how master clinicians reason through challenging cases. While getting the diagnosis “right” is amazing to see, the true learning comes from witnessing how experts navigate the zigs and zags of a diagnostic journey in a case that unfurls in real time (as it does in life, of course).

Our discussant will be Gurpreet Dhaliwal, MD. Gurpreet is a distinguished clinician-educator and scholar whose name has become practically synonymous with diagnostic reasoning. He is a professor of medicine at the San Francisco VA, where he directs the medical student internal medicine clerkship and sees patients in the ED, wards, and outpatient clinic. He is a member of the UCSF Academy of Medical Educators and the UCSF Department of Medicine Council of Master Clinicians. He has been a podcast guest on Freakonomics MD, Curbsiders, Clinical Problem Solvers, Explore the Space, BMJ Deep Breath In, and the Wall Street Journal Report.

Note: Closed captions will be available within 48-72 hours after posting.
