Clickteam Fusion has been a staple for many developers, but has a major pricing mistake held it back from reaching millions more? In this video, we dive into why the Raycasting object should have been a core, free feature rather than a $399 hurdle. We’ll discuss how a lower price point or making it standard, could have led to a massive surge in users and revenue, rather than limiting it to a few high-paying customers. Is the cost of plugins and extra features driving developers away from Clickteam? Let’s talk about the missed opportunity and what this means for the future of the engine.

![How to Use GB 2.0 Studio Tutorial ( NEW FREE GAME ENGINE)
[Update] GB Studio 2.0.0 Beta Finally Here!
#GBSTUDIO #GAMEDEV #FreeGameEngine
Theres no new documentation just yet though, things are subject to change but once it settles down a little Ill start getting an updated site ready. For now the best way to understand the new features is to create a new project with the Sample Project template, Ive expanded out the previous sample project and tried to include examples of as many of the new features as possible in a single game.
This is a Beta build though so remember things might be broken or might not work like you expect, its going to get better over time. It should be able to migrate your existing projects automatically (check out the Changelog above to see if any changes affect you though) but definitely keep backups before migrating anything important, there may be subtle bugs with this build and its not possible to migrate your project back to 1.2.1 later. If you spot anything wrong you can create a new issue on GitHub over at https://github.com/chrismaltby/gb-studio/issues
Oh and Pocket support isnt included in this build but it will be coming!
Thanks for the support everyone!
And thanks to everyone who has donated to help me make GB Studio as good as it can be. Feel free to set the price to $0 if you want though, no pressure, and you can download on GitHub if you want too.
GB Studio is a visual game builder with no programming knowledge required allowing you to make real Game Boy ROMs in minutes. You can run the games on any emulator or you can run them on your Game Boy if youve got a flash cart!
Full documentation is available at https://www.gbstudio.dev/.
Its open source too!
Cant wait to see what you make!
