In this video I clean and replace the thermal paste on my EVGA GTX 1070Ti FTW edition. I bought this GTX 1070ti in around 2018 and it has been super reliable ever since. I use the GTX 1070Ti in 2022 as well and will be upgrading to an entire new system with an RTX 4080 this fall but I wanted to replace the thermal paste on the 1070Ti first. Considering how gpu prices or graphics card prices have been dropping in the past few days and all the crypto miners and bitcoin miners have been getting their miner gpu's or miner graphics cards online for cheap, it was tempting to buy another one of these for cheap and SLI it. However considering the Nvidia 4000 series release date is near and I need to save for a new pc, I thought otherwise.
This card is the EVGA FTW 1070Ti and you can use this as a tutorial on how to replace the thermal paste on a 1070Ti EVGA FTW edition card. I use the Deep Cool Z5 thermal paste for this card and my other pc builds and stuff as its easily one of the all round best thermal pastes on the market.
I will be doing a using GTX 1070Ti in 2022, GTX 1070ti 2022, Nvidia GTX 1070Ti still worth it? I have paired this thing with the specs listed below and use the 1070ti on a daily basis for gaming and all sorts of other things here in 2022.
