I cleaned my mealworm farm today by flushing the long-term worm drawer of substrate and frass and then dumping all the keepage into the existing egg drawer which had plenty of hatchlings ready to be moved forward. I then prepared a new egg drawer and dumped all of the beetles into it so they can mate. In 10+ weeks when eggs hatch, I will dump the egg drawer into the worm drawer, prepare a new egg drawer and then repeat that for up to 8 months. So I only have to actually mess with filtering the large worm drawer only once or twice a year.
