Clawdites were shape shifting beings that resembled reptilian humanoids in their natural state. Through great focus they are to change their appearance to match other humanoid creatures. They were able to do this thanks to chromatophores in their skin cells, which are a kind of cell that produce color. They also had specialized control over their lymphatic systems, which allowed them to adjust their size and shape to a certain degree, although they could not change their overall mass. Originally from the planet Zolan, they were a distrusting people, even among their own kind, since there was always a chance a being might be presenting a false face. Many Clawdites used their abilities to enter employment in the criminal underworld, becoming bounty hunters or assassins. #starwars
