Double play: Two romantically oriented sitcoms from that wonderful year, 1998.
• For Your Love: When it first appeared on NBC, this series about three couples in different stages of their lives lasted eight episodes, dropping from 25th for the week to 63rd. The WB picked it up and squeezed several more seasons out of it. It was considered notable in featuring both black and white lead characters.
• Getting Personal: This Fox network show ran for two seasons, but they only totaled 17 episodes (and one of them was unaired). Elliot Gould runs a commercial production company. Vivica A Fox is the new hire who has to supervise a worker who, just by coincidence, gave her a dreadful time on their first date the night before.
