It's considered a "beautiful trainwreck" on Destructoid. Others consider it to be a absolutely terrible game. Either way, this game is a classic. It's definitely worth 20 dollars. Great game, imo.
The director's cut version is currently in the works as a PS3 exclusive and from what I've read, it's supposed to be an improvement over the original while adding some new things.
