717 006 was out on a driver training trip and is seen passing through (and stopping at) Alexandra Palace station, London.
Just by chance a northbound Class 313 train arrived at the same time!
The Class 717 trains will replace the Class 313 trains on Great Northern services out of Moorgate underground station, powered from an electrified third rail whilst in the tube train tunnels and overhead wires for the rest of the route.
