One of the brand-new London Underground Piccadilly line 2024 Tube Stock trains calls at Finsbury Park station.

At present (August 2026) this fleet of trains are still undergoing pre-service tests, checks and familiarisation, so they are not carrying passengers.

The trains are of a new fully walk-through design. Their introduction will mean that for the first time the deep-level tube trains will have air-conditioning - - the subsurface fleet already has air-conditioning but these trains travel through tunnels that date from the steam train era and include ventilation for waste gases (steam engine smoke). The deep-level tube train tunnels were designed for electric trains (so are without ventilation) and a solution had to be devised to deal with the heat removed from inside the train.

The new trains have more advanced real-time information. If you have sharp eyes you may note how steady green lights inside the train change to flashing red when the doors are closing. The film's cover image includes an inset showing the red mode.
