Wow so it's been a week since my heart was ripped out by this show. I can't believe how affected I have been by these characters. I started watching this show before Lexa was even introduced. I fell in love with the strong women on this show especially Clarke. I watched for Clarke and her journey through this crazy post apocalyptic world. Then in season 2 we were introduced to Commander Lexa and everything changed for me. I began to love both of these characters which was great because suddenly their journey was intertwined. I could watch both of my favorite characters get to know each other and interact and challenge each other. Their story was so rich and complex just like their characters. I was still a very casual viewer as far as shipping them was concerned. I never thought they would be come canon and then the kiss in 214 happened and I knew we were in trouble. After that I was worried about Lexa's death. I knew she wasn't a main character and I was so concerned with how her story would end. Then 215 happened and I was soooo disappointed but still interested in the story of Clarke. Then season 3 happened and guess which two characters crossed paths again?! Their journey this season was wonderful and exciting and captivating. Their chemistry was so explosive it jumped out of the screen and in to my chest (Lextra anyone) I joined a fandom that was both very passionate and very hilarious. I went on this journey with all of you and it was the best experience I've had in a fandom in a while. Then 307 happened and again everything changed. We lost an amazing character and half of a beautiful love story. A love story we had not seen written this well and focused on this much in a long time. I saw so much despair that night and felt every bit of it. I was instantly jolted back to all the times I've seen same sex love stories have a tragic end. To be hit with the dead lesbian trope by this show was a shocker. We all felt that maybe Lexa would die but to be used by the showrunner, for him to invest us in this couple and make us believe that maybe they would make it is the real shocker. We were let down because we all got our hopes up and that is tragic. I feel for those that are younger than myself and haven't seen that things get better and that a TV show does not dictate whether you have a happy ending. I know what we lost in a character like Lexa and I know what hope we lost when Clexa was taken away so soon after we got it. Just don't lose hope that one day our stories will be told with the passion, consideration, and care that it deserves. We deserve better. Lexa deserved better.

Ok so with this vid I just wanted to show how much these two challenged and relied on each other. They inspired each other and listened to one another. They talked out their differences and resolved their problems with such care and respect. I adore these two characters with all my heart and I just wanted to show that in this vid. This is my tribute to them. I hope I did them justice.
