Onwards! #48 is the second of five planned teaser trailers for the upcoming CITY OF HEROES expansion, FREEDOM, and its inaugural issue, #21: Convergence. (Yep, five, PLUS a trailer later on down the road. Why me?)
AND AGAIN, BEFORE EVERYONE GETS IN MY FACE OVER THIS: Let me reassure you, this video does NOT break any kind of NDA whatsoever. It was shot ENTIRELY on the LIVE servers (thank you, Justice). All of the maps, all of the models, all of the effects, they are all available in the CURRENT version of COH. This is STRICTLY my take on what things MIGHT be like, based on information that has already been PUBLICLY RELEASED by the official Paragon Studios team.
Whew. Now that THAT'S out of the way...
Information on COH:F continues to come our way at a deliciously tantalizing rate: thanks to the U-streams, and especially the information that came our way from San Diego Comic-Con, COH:F Issue 21 looks like it's going to be nothing short of spectacular. And now they've begun a new ad campaign, which inspired THIS teaser!
The focus on this teaser stems from the artwork from the ad campaign (done by the brilliant David Nakayama) in which it's implied that one of the Freedom Phalanx is not long for this world. (Take your bets on who it is - I have my own theories but nothing I can prove.) For this, SmartSound's "Epic Metal Trailer Music 16" was everything I needed - a slow, dramatic open to non-stop action, and then a heartbreaking ending. (Check out SmartSound's AudioJungle profile at audiojungle.net/user/SmartSound - the epic metal trailer music set ALONE is worth the trip!)
Like my other videos, this one is tagged as Samuraiko Productions, for those who follow my work. Enjoy!

![City of Heroes - Midnights Secrets (Issue 12 Trailer)
Number nineteen is here! I have gone all-out trying to get this video done before Issue 12 went live, and finally managed it!
Since NCSoft did their own impressive video for Issue 12, which focused on the Midnight Squad, I decided to take a different tack and focus on the other major development of the issue... the introduction of Cimerora.
I absolutely loved the zone, and the potential there is almost limitless (even though the zone itself is still fairly contained). And Roman armor looks AMAZING! (The task force, by the way, is worth doing over and over again!)
Two pieces of music by the same artist made the perfect backdrop for this video - Bittersweet Dreams and Slay the Dragon, by Brand X Music. Leading beautifully from one to the other (in the same key, woohoo!), the former could be the theme music for the Midnight Squad, and the latter has the epic feel for Cimerora.
And #19 features something not heard in any previous video of mine... the artist known as Samuraiko doing a very short voiceover!
READ THIS BEFORE COMMENTING:
To get to Cimerora:
Heroside - talk to Montague Castanella in Steel Canyon, do the Midnighter arc. Villainside - talk to Ashley McKnight in Cap au Diable, do the Midnighter arc. Enter Cimerora after lvl 35.
To get Roman armor:
Do the Imperious Task Force. Heroes and Villains may co-op on this one.
