#73 and counting!
From the moment I first heard Klayton (of Celldweller fame)'s other project, Scandroid, this child of the 80s just fell in love with the music. A bit of old, a bit of new - if Vangelis, Wendy Carlos, and Celldweller were to collaborate on tracks, it'd sound like this. And as soon as I heard "Destination Unknown", I knew I wanted to make a video to it. And what I wanted to use it for.
One of my favorite anime of all time (first discovered back while I was in graduate school) is Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo 2040. Yes, I know it's a 'remake' of sorts of the original BGC series, and having seen both, I still prefer the latter. (And we are not getting into an argument about this - you have yours and I have mine.) For all its faults (and yes, it has them), this series gave me some of my best memories while I was finishing up my degree - including the two CREEPIEST episode cliffhangers of all anime-dom.
I like to think that Red (Klayton's clone from 2517 and the force behind Scandroid) would have a lot in common with Priss Asagiri, lead singer of the grunge-techno band Sekiria, badass biker babe, and the melee combatant of the Knight Sabers.
