This whole interaction started years ago when they withheld body cam footage from an X Swampscott officer that was arrested for an OUI in Lynn Massachusetts. Turn off past behind the wheel at McConnell's drive thru, yet his charges were still dismissed for period to prosecute.
When I went to drop off the letter of intent to sue, to the records keeper Lt. Avery. I informed him that if I didn't get the record of the 5 business days that I would be taking them to federal court and his response was "can't wait"
This made me look more into him and I just found out he just got off a 5 day suspension for punching handcuff man in the face. I then requested that body cam footage which was also withheld. As I have been going through my own legal troubles, I received legal advice to lay low for a while as my case has been brought to the appeals court.
It has basically been a year and a half, with my appeals case in the final stages, I am getting back out there and applying pressure (legally) to the local officials once again. My most recent visit I spoke to the new city attorney who told me I needed consent to record him in the public area of the city solicitor's office. This is the type of incompetence that we have dealing with from the city at even the highest positions such as city solicitor.
