Defeating all seven bosses in Citadel Stormer 2 without taking damage and its ending. An AI goes rogue threatening to exterminate humans if they don't submit to its rule and you're a soldier who is the only one able to fight back for some reason so you have to go through many levels to rough up robots to be able to get into the place with the AI to also rough it up.
This does keep to the retro genre pretty well but that includes the frustrating elements like insta-kill obstacles, knockback when hit, and virtually no iframes. The story and gameplay are pretty basic - you explore a mostly linear level filled with robots and obstacles, push buttons and disable force fields to progress, and you gain a variety of guns and some abilities like dash. The first five worlds have three levels (which get split into two parts) and then a boss (the final world is super short before facing the final two bosses). Each distinct level gives a password to retry if you lose all your lives. Overall, this is a pretty average game and unless you like the aforementioned elements of retro games you may not find this enjoyable.
