There are a few really common color grading "rules" that don't help you, they actually keep you stuck, pumping out mediocre grades and keeping your creativity in a box.

1:13 - Analyzing the balance in the black and white levels
5:25 - Rule 2
5:41 - Analyzing the the hue and balance in skin tone
11:24 - Rule 3
12:05 - Analyzing the exposure that aligns with the creative intent
