In this Office Hour, CIDDL community members Dr Basham and Dr. Vasquez announce the launch of CIDDL AI Studio, a free six-week collaborative experience for educators, researchers, and district leaders ready to move beyond AI tool demos and build real AI literacy together.
They share how a 15-week graduate AI course sparked the idea, how The Coming Wave by Mustafa Suleyman anchors the studio's discussions, and what participants can expect: a sprint-based design process built around real problems of practice. They also walk through two student projects from their course, including a researcher network mapping tool and a custom AI syllabus accessibility analyzer, as examples of what the studio aims to produce.
The first cohort is limited to 25 participants and is completely free. Open to higher education faculty, K-12 leaders, and classroom educators.
