Every artist either a major player in the progressive house scene, or a rising artist currently turning heads. Hidden Empire follow up last year’s Truesoul debut with the impressive two-tracker ‘No Rules’.
The German duo signalled their arrival on Drumcode’s little brother imprint last spring with the strong ‘Disco Future Rave / Switch it Up’, seamlessly blending house, techno, EBM and electronica. Their return offering to Truesoul is no less captivating.
Born during a late-night studio session, ‘No Rules’ is a massive, chugging electro beast that’s driven by a sinister synth line and robotic vox sample and feels simultaneously organic and futuristic. “Our aim was to capture the mindset of both the creator and the dancer. It’s about that moment when the music takes over on the dancefloor and nothing else matters - just movement, freedom, and raw emotion,” they share.
‘Born to Rave’ taps right into our diehard addiction to raving and is a rolling dancefloor cut built around a cool synth line and commanding vocal. “It’s for the ones who feel most alive between basslines and flashing lights. It’s about unity in the crowd, losing yourself and finding freedom on the dancefloor,” Hidden Empire share.

Jos & Eli make their eagerly awaited HABITAT debut with their ‘I Can See’ EP on the 26th March, featuring the highly anticipated tracks ‘Refraction’ and ‘Lucidia’. With their ‘I Can See’ EP, the duo delivers a focused and expressive statement that positions them confidently within the melodic house & techno space. ‘Refraction’ opens the EP and sets the tone with a cinematic atmosphere, where subtle synth lines are layered over hard kicks and fizzing pads, building into transcendal breakdown that percolates peak-time euphoria. ‘Lucidia’ follows with a more introspective mood, weaving emotive melodies and a pulsating bassline with soft vocal harmonies, showcasing their ability to balance sensitivity and drive. Closing the EP, title track ‘I Can See’ kicks into a rhythmic groove where soaring synths shimmer above a growling low end, the two moving in tandem in a call-and-response working their way to a momentous drop.

The Dynamic Deutsche Duo has delivered several stellar contributions to the Seladorian catalogue – and this latest double-header is a very welcome and characteristically powerful return, with Lexer the cherry on the icing on the collab cake.
‘True Peak’ is true peak time (but of course). It rocks straight from the off, as a burbling bassline explodes out of the starting blocks, all mean, moody and magnificent. Slowly but oh-so surely it is aided and abetted by a veritable plethora of memorable hooks, starting with a breathy snatched vocal, building to a keyboard riff from the techno gods.
Uh-oh! Lexer has been added to the squad, and all bets are off. ‘Conquista’ is set to conquer all in its path. Everything about this tune will make you smile broadly and shake yer hips without even realising. From the so infectious congo-esque intro via the jittering one note riff, funky percussive frills and squelchy bassline to the ravemungous hands in the air crescendo, it’s a dancefloor call to arms.
