The Dynamic Deutsche Duo has delivered several stellar contributions to the Seladorian catalogue – and this latest double-header is a very welcome and characteristically powerful return, with Lexer the cherry on the icing on the collab cake.
‘True Peak’ is true peak time (but of course). It rocks straight from the off, as a burbling bassline explodes out of the starting blocks, all mean, moody and magnificent. Slowly but oh-so surely it is aided and abetted by a veritable plethora of memorable hooks, starting with a breathy snatched vocal, building to a keyboard riff from the techno gods.
Uh-oh! Lexer has been added to the squad, and all bets are off. ‘Conquista’ is set to conquer all in its path. Everything about this tune will make you smile broadly and shake yer hips without even realising. From the so infectious congo-esque intro via the jittering one note riff, funky percussive frills and squelchy bassline to the ravemungous hands in the air crescendo, it’s a dancefloor call to arms.

Last year’s event, the inaugural Balance Croatia 2025 won the Ambassador Award for Festival of the Year. This Is Balance Croatia 2026 is a wide angled snapshot of the incredible music you’ll hear at the festival. The compilation features over thirty artists; every single one is on the lineup. Every artist either a major player in the progressive house scene, or a rising artist currently turning heads. Progressive House is being embraced by a whole new generation, and Balance Croatia is at the forefront.
Curated as both a reflection of the festival’s musical identity and a document of the wider progressive community, the compilation showcases material from a broad cross-section of artists spanning more than 10 countries.
Among the contributors are long-standing scene figureheads Hernán Cattáneo, Anthony Pappa, D-Nox and Kasey Taylor & Gai Barone, alongside respected underground operators and rising talents including GMJ & Matter, Kamilo Sanclemente, Maze 28, Matthew Sona, Mike Rish, Rocio Portillo, Amonita, Dowden and many more.

An artist constantly at the vanguard of the Progressive House sound, Alex O’Rion returns to Meanwhile with another elite EP, this time with the magical “Hartseer / Flow”.
Having built a sizeable and dedicated following over a career spanning two decades, Alex O’Rion is no stranger to success. A globally touring DJ with gigs in South America, Australasia, Asia, North America and across Europe, Alex is as proficient at building memories from behind the decks as he is creating new sonic masterpieces from his Nijerk-based studio. Moreover, so in-demand is the Dutch master that he has sat firmly in the Beatport Top 10 Progressive House artist chart for 6 consecutive years with a raft of releases on the likes of Sudbeat Music, Anjunadeep, Lost and Found and his own Top 20 Progressive House label, Solis Records.
A resident artist on GMJ & Matter’s flagship label, a trio of original EPs between 2021 and 2025 sit proudly within an extraordinary canon of production material that also includes remixes for Jiminy Hop and the Meanwhile label heads themselves. In addition, Alex has also seen his original compositions reworked by such legendary progressive figures as Simos Tagias, Sebastian Sellares, Navar and Roger Martinez.
Now returning for a fourth original EP, “Hartseer” is a typically evocative track that builds on an intoxicatingly deep groove and thumping kick. A rolling sub-bassline creates body-shaking dancefloor energy before glacial synth lines flow majestically across an 8-minute timeframe. Evolving endlessly, glassy plucks and revolving arps percolate in an aural melting pot that generates listener interest and captivating atmospheres that only Alex is able to create. Blossoming into the latter stages with extended groove, copious effects and oscillating melodies, “Hartseer” deserves to be displayed in the Rijksmuseum as a sonic work of art.
Continuing the deep rhythmic narrative, the aptly named, “Flow” is as mesmerising as it is evocative with its huge, sustained bassline sequence. Quickly hitting its stride, enthralling melodies augment the rhythmic foundation as they coruscate easily across the track’s duration. Pausing for breath at a dazzling breakdown of melodic interplay, the third movement explodes in a firework display of glittering fragments that extend the scope of earlier phrasing in an expansive call and answer pattern.

A warm welcome back to Planet TAU for Sam Shure. The berlin based producer and DJ first landed here in 2023 with the Deviated EP, returning earlier this year to remix Gumm. Now Sam is back in full effect with a brand new three-tracker entitled Manifest. This new release is a continuation of Sams diverse approach, bringing together a variety of styles and flavours encompassing his forward-thinking outlook. The EP kicks off with the title track. Manifest works off a hypnotic groove, with a captivating low end and mesmerising percussion working together to lock you in. Sams expertise shines through as the cut unravels steadily, subtle elements adding to the tension and momentum. As we enter the main body of the track, the energy picks up and an uplifting vocal is introduced bit by bit. Piano keys punctuate the breakdown, as the vocal is revealed in all its glory. Sam really ramps up the impact of this one as it progresses towards its conclusion. Lonely Road follows next with a house-infused groove, plenty of cowbell and a high-energy vocal. The dense low end provides this one with all its power, as the percussive elements add movement and irresistible layers of rhythm. The vocal really comes into its own during the breakdown, which provides a climactic moment, sending energy levels soaring as strings enter the frame. One that will send the dance floor into a frenzy. Finally, My Goodbye closes things out on a more sombre note. A jazzy influence pervades, the mood encompasses various shades of grey and the stuttered beats push things along with purpose. This is Sam Shure in a more pensive state, though things ramp up after the breakdown, offering a brighter second half. A symphony of buoyant sounds combines to create a more positive, optimistic segment. The narrative arc of this cut moves through melancholy into happiness and ends with a more toned-down atmosphere.
