This is a recently uncovered VHS tape of a rare documentary on Radio CHY Coffs Harbour which began its life in December 1973 in NSW, Australia.
CHYFM is the first student run FM station in Australia.
It's now on 104.1 on the FM band, but was originally broadcast through telephone cables owned by the Post Master General (PMG), now known as Telstra.
In the four decades of its existence, over 4000 locals have passed through its doors.
This features some of the early ones.
