ChudTheBuilder is finally out of jail after posting a $1 million bond—and now we're getting new evidence that could matter enormously to his self-defense claim.
In today's show, I walk through newly surfaced posts attributed to Joshua Fox, also known online as Joshua Love, in which he allegedly discussed wanting to run into Chud and fight him before the confrontation that ultimately led to Chud's arrest. If authenticated and admissible, I believe this material could help support the defense argument that Fox—not Chud—was seeking a physical confrontation.
I also explain Chud's actual bond conditions, why reports that he's prohibited from using social media appear to be wrong, the extraordinary potential prison exposure he faces if convicted, and why I continue to believe the evidence supports a claim of lawful self-defense. Whatever anyone thinks about Chud's offensive online speech, due process and the law of self-defense don't disappear simply because the defendant is unpopular.
