Triple Eye | Chroma Squad Review - A Love Letter to Power Rangers @TripleEye_Josh | Uploaded April 2019 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Chroma Squad is the Power Rangers video game you’ve always wanted. It’s a love letter to all things Saban and Japanese. It’s got everything you want from a game inspired by the Power Rangers (or Big Bad Beetleborgs if you were a bigger fan of that show like me).
Chroma Squad is a tactical RPG that plays similarly to XCOM or Mutant Year Zero. But not only are you fighting monsters with ridiculous costumes, you’re also making a TV show. That’s right, this is also a management game, where you have to make the best show possible and reach as many viewers as possible.
Build up your fan base, sell toys, fight monsters real and fake, and save the world while doing it. I don’t want to spoil too much, but Chroma Squad is one of my favorite indie games ever. Oh, maybe that was a bit of a spoiler...
