Triple Eye | Atari and Intellivision Are Making New Consoles?! @TripleEye_Josh | Uploaded May 2019 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Believe it or not, both Atari and Intellivision are both making new consoles. That’s right, the two classic titans of the industry in the 1980s are back, and they’ve got new toys. The problem is, can either of them actually manage to pull this off?
Atari and Intellivision have rocky histories. Once the top of the food chain in gaming, they both quickly fell hard and fast. Both companies as they originally were structured and owned are gone, instead replaced with new owners, different holding companies, and entirely new employees. No one who worked at either company back in the day is still at either.
With that in mind, maybe their “grand return” to console-making isn’t so grand after all. Especially after you see what they’re both cooking up. Not to mention it’s a big question mark if either of them are actually capable of this anyway.
