This festive quilt design utilizes jelly roll strips (2.5” strips) or layer cake squares (10” squares), along with background yardage, making it ideal for quilters who want to delve into their stash or showcase a favorite holiday fabric line.
For fabric, I’m using Cozy & Magical by Maureen Cracknell and Oatmeal Deco Stitch, both from Art Gallery Fabrics. These prints blend classic holiday prints with bright modern tones. Paired with a neutral sugar cookie color of Oatmeal Deco Stitch, this quilt brings a modern farmhouse Christmas feel, blending modern and traditional designs.

Materials:
Throw Size: 48" x 60" Quilt.
Either 40 - 10” squares or 40 - 2 ½” strips
1 ¼ yards - Background Yardage
Twin Size: 60" x 72" Quilt.
Either 60 - 10” squares or 60 - 2 ½” strips
2 yards - Background Yardage
With each pre-cut:
Subcut:
2 - 2 ½ x 6 ½" rectangles
4 - 2 ½ x 4 ½" rectangles
2 - 2 ½ x squares
With background yardage:
Subcut Throw:
80 - 2 ½ x 4 ½" rectangles
80 - 2 ½ x squares
Subcut Twin:
120 - 2 ½ x 4 ½" rectangles
120 - 2 ½ x squares
