Easy to make cookies for Christmas using a box cake mix.
This recipe is versatile with cake mix of your choice and anything you would like to add. Some ideas:
Spice cake with peanut butter chips or butterscotch chips
Snickerdoodle, yellow cake mix, add 1 teaspoon cinnamon and roll in small ball and dip in cinnamon and sugar.
You can use your imagination and come up with your own flavor combination.
For the video I did chocolate mint chip with devil's food cake, and yellow cake with fruit cake mix.
Fruit cake cookies
1 package yellow cake
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
2 -4 tsp milk just enough so it's not dry
1/3 cup fruit cake mix plus 2 tbsp for top of cookies
Chocolate mint chip
1 devil's food cake mix
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1tsp vanilla
2-4 tsp. milk
3/4 bag of chocolate mint chips saving the rest for the top of the cookies
Mix well add just enough milk that the dough is not dry. Roll cookies into balls and put on a cookie smash with your palm or use the smooth part of the bottom of a glass. Top cookies with the extra ingredients and bake in a 350* oven.
Package in Christmas tins with wax paper.
