Christmas 2017 Candy Cane Poinsettias for gifts or favors.
These are created with a 6"x6" piece of patterned paper, and decorated with ribbon and sentiments of your choice.
The poinsettia was created with the leaves of the Lemon Punch from Stampin' Up!. Twelve leaves were used, six with stems glued evenly around a 3/4" circle base, then the other six were glued over the base, and offset to make the poinsettia look full. Two leaves with shades of green were glued to the back in a pleasing arrangement.
The candy cane and candy cane kisses were arranged in a 2" by 8" cellophane bag that was cut down to 6", and tied at the top of the kisses with a ribbon. The poinsettia was then "glue dotted" to the cellophane bag just above the ribbon. I stamped and cut a "to-from" tag with what I had on hand, and tied it around the ribbon of the cellophane bag with linen thread.
