Can heaven justify suffering? A Christian caller says YES — even God flooding the earth and the babies in it is "worth it" if heaven is real.
Godless Engineer and @VolcyThoughts walk Nate through Ephesians 5, the problem of evil, and one question about his own daughter — until he concedes and walks off.

In this two-host call-in takedown, Nate opens by claiming Christian marriages just succeed and that the Bible protects women — then gets walked through what the text actually says. GE breaks down Ephesians 5:22–33: wives are told to "submit in everything," and the Greek word most Bibles soften to "respect" is phobos — FEAR. The wife is told to fear her husband. Nate hunts the passage for a conditional "if" that would soften it, and concedes there isn't one.
Then it gets worse. Cornered on Deuteronomy 21's captured woman and Numbers 31, Nate argues that heaven is so good it justifies all earthly suffering — that unfathomable joy in the afterlife could make even the worst crime against his own daughter "worth it," and he shrugs at God drowning the babies in the flood with "heaven must be a good place." GE and Volcy are visibly disgusted. Nate concedes — twice — and leaves.
