In this video, I explore a symbolic similarity between the Hindu goddess Kali and Jesus Christ. I argue that the Hindu image of Kali standing on Shiva can be seen as an icon of the Crucifixion. I also discuss the Biblical figure of Sophia (Wisdom), and how the Hindu notion of a personal cosmos (Shakti) could enrich Christianity. Finally, I outline the meaning these images and myths can have for us, regardless of our religion (or lack thereof).
