This is my good Youtube friend Chris from over there in Bempton Bridlington, with his new, 'cheap as chips', Gisam 21V Chinese cordless hedgetrimmer. It cost him £80, battery included and came with extras. It also arrived at the door, so no trip to the shops.
No more extension leads to trip over or accidently cut through.
At these prices you can't expect the consumer to pay £20-50 more for a similar purchase from a European company!
No wonder UK manufacturing industries have collapsed. They can't hope to produce and sell anything against cheap, efficient, Chinese competition imported from the other side of the world.
Remember the long forgotten rally cries of 'Buy British' and 'I'm Backing Britain'?
DIY store Homebase recently closed down operations here. Small family run DIY businesses are all going the same way. Will B7Q be next to shut it's doors? I suspect so.
