Choubin, The Wooden Village, is located in Neishabour in northeast Iran. The word “choubin” in Persian means made of wood. The village has been constructed by Mojtahedi, who is the owner as well as an engineer, and the facilities include the museum, library, shop, bakery and the mosque are all made of wood. Choubin is also famous for the wooden mosque for it is the first earthquake-resistant structure in its kind in the world.
