I've really developed a fondness for Chopin's music in my old age. So, it is with mixed feelings that I upload this. Seems disrespectful. And having listened to several professional performances of this on piano and guitar, I realize it is normally played more freely and with less regard to the written note values. But I'm not governed by a proper musical education and frankly I felt those experts play it a little too fast. So, I wanted to see whether I could make it last over 3 minutes. And, since I succeeded in that regard, I decided to upload the video as a reward to myself (I usually play everything too fast). Previously, I couldn't get past 2:45.
Most of this arrangement isn't very hard, but the best part is a little challenging. Measures 17 thru 19 still need a lot of work, but who has time for excellence?
This arrangement is by Joseph Castle (I believe he has passed away) who published a book called "Mel Bay's Deluxe Album of Classic Guitar Music", published in the 1970's. It cost me $2.95 when I bought it. The book is still available from Amazon. I guess I'm not the only one who likes it. It's now officially an heirloom of mine.
Guitar: Taylor NS32-CE (Capo at 3rd fret)
