Chinese stir fry Pork liver with onions
Liver is one of the most under rated dish; it’s high in protein and Vitamin A, easy to cook and taste delicious. It is a dish I enjoy. Below is my stir fry pig liver with onions.
Ingredients;
130g sliced pork liver
100g sliced onion
Condiments
1 teaspoon dark soy sauce
1g salt
1g MSG
Half teaspoon oyster sauce
Dash cooking wine
Dash white pepper powder
Method:
Sliced the liver as thin as you can (it helps if you freeze it for 20 minutes so it firm a bit) and boil it in plenty of water for about 7 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and drain off excessive water.
Heat wok with 2 tablespoon of vegetable cooking oil and add the onions in to stir fry for about 1 minute.
Add the liver and 1 teaspoon of dark soy sauce.
Stir fry for a bit and add a dash of cooking wine and white pepper powder.
Stir fry for some more and add the salt and MSG, more stir fry and add the oyster sauce.
Stir fry for another minute to complete the dish.
