China's landing ship Jinggangshan vessel joined in the international search operations for the missing Malaysian plane on Tuesday, but no substantive clues was found yet.
The landing ship was formed into a formation with Chinese frigate Mianyang, which arrived Monday, and started the search operations around the Gulf of Thailand at 09:20 (Beijing time).
Two helicopters were sent for the search operations as well. They maintained at the height of 100 meters in the search mission.
The Jinggangshan vessel found a floating object at about 09:40, which was later salvaged and confirmed to be a marine life jacket made by Vietnam. It found and salvaged a floating bucket in the afternoon, but it was proved to be a lubricant barrel for automobiles.
No substantive clues were found by the Chinese navy during Tuesday's search.
