Aviation biofuel exports are surging in China.
At this aviation biofuel company in east China's Jiangsu Province, the production line is running at full capacity.
Industrial-grade mixed oil undergoes pretreatment processes like washing, impurity removal, and absorption, and then is converted into "green fuel" bio-aviation kerosene through hydrodeoxygenation and other processes.
The head of the company says output reaches 30,000 to 40,000 tons per month.
"European countries are the main market. But now we are expanding into emerging markets like Japan, South Korea and Australia."
Ning Yazhong, chief executive, aviation biofuel manufacturer:
"The aviation biofuel exports have a quarter-on-quarter growth of roughly 102 percent in Q2. The price in January was about 2,100 U.S. dollars, but in June, it was up to 2,800 dollars."
Customs data shows that 297 million U.S. dollar-worth of aviation biofuel was exported from Shandong Province in H1 this year.
