If you would like to go a bit faster, you can skip targeting the Beamos and flick slightly right of down to get the angle to backflip, it's kinda tricky though. This had been relevant for MST N64 1.0 route, so was titled "Beamos Hover for MST 1.0" but that is way obsolete since Equip Swap. Oh, you totally don't have to risk breaking your stick crouch stabbing to the right lol, I just liked to look dangerous for no reason when I'd do this in MST.
You can crouch stab down left just fine. I'm not sure why I thought crouch stab to the right was a good idea, but I had been hit by a car 10 days prior to this and was... still slightly concussed to say the least. My brain melted down just trying to untangle the wires to hook my N64 controller into my Mayflash adapter to use on my laptop.
