Rikki Poynter | Child Abuse Survivor Living on Her Own for the First Time | Food Pantry Haul @rikkipoynter | Uploaded March 2024 | Updated October 2024, 15 hours ago.
Being a child abuse survivor after three decades, there finally came a time I was able to be on my own and have a chance of it staying that way. Of course, times are hard and work is extremely hard to come by when you're disabled, don't have college degrees, etc. Owning your own business is hard. Having two sick cats with lots of vet bills that you didn't anticipate is hard. So I've been looking for help while I look for consistent full or even part time work, etc. I've been so curious about the food pantry for so long but didn't think they would help me because, I don't know, was I "good enough" for the food pantry? But I finally bit the bullet and here we are with a food pantry/food bank haul.
