the visuals were made using AI and analog video effects with an editing process that I believe is pretty unconventional... here is the workflow:

the figures and choreagraphy I stole from the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (with a small amount of "Kill Bill" at the beginning). I edited the fight scene (youtu.be/DzkhVVFRIIg) to the music in Premiere Pro on a 1152x832 12fps timeline. Then I exported and imported this sequence into After Effects and isolated the figures from the background using Rotobrush 3.0, Adobe's AI-powered rotoscoping tool. With this I was able to put a solid white background under the figures (including some lyrics.) Then I exported this sequence as PNG files (about 1400 frames) and ran the images through Stable Diffusion's img2img batch process TWICE. The first pass was with some SD 1.5 LoRAs and the second pass was with SDXL (still at 1152x832). The LoRAs (downloaded from civitai.com) were all ink-painting / watercolor / Japanese / Chinese-style-painting related and I think in total I used 10 of them at various weights (mostly at 0.5). I also used ControlNet Openpose to make sure the faces didn't get too messed up.

In addition to these frames I generated a bunch of red "blood" splatters in the img2img tab, with the source image being just a solid white canvas with the img2img noise multiplier turned up to something like 1.01. I then brought these two sequences of frames into a 24fps timeline in Premiere Pro with the red splatters overlaid on top (the blend mode was 'Linear Burn') and offset some of the splatters by one frame to give the overall video a sort of 24fps animated comic book effect.

Finally I processed multiple takes of analog video glitch effects on the video with my Mezkalin Rusty Joe, and did some color grading with Lumetri Color.
