I wrote this song expressly to fill out a live acoustic set list I am working on. I wanted a more upbeat kind of syncopated rhythm than I normally write and to that degree I think I succeeded however it was definitely lacking something. So in the end I lowered the capo one fret thus lowering the vocal bed. It is in fact now kind of low for me but enabled me to do this kind of deeper Bowie-ish tone. Kinda diff for me. Not sure what to think of it but like all these songs from my bucket list project I am throwing all styles against the wall to see what sticks. All along in deciding to get back into songwriting I want to leave myself open to all opportunities one being just a songwriter as opposed to a performer. Having other people take my music and doing it their way has always been a dream of mine. Being a successful songwriter has more longevity I suppose as well.
For the hell of it I threw some scenes from Blood the Last Vampire below the live performance- cheeky manga-ish cinema for a cheeky song.
