The community for the Real-Time A Button Challenge (RTABC) came up with a category that starts from a file with both keys unlocked but nothing else. Here is an easy way of obtaining such a file without Mupen, Stroop, or SBLJ.
In Star Display's menu, select "Game Edits - Click to Warp", then simply click on "B1" and "B2" to enter the first and second Bowser stage respectively. From there, obtaining a 2 key file should be easy.
If you wish to do this in a romhack where Bowser 1 and 2 are difficult, you can also do the setup demonstrated in my followup video: youtu.be/f-KkbQIxnmE

Not optimized, mostly because Stroop doesnt work with this romhack. For example, with only frame advance and no Stroop, I didnt notice that riding a surfboard on land at 0:21 is slow.
I believe this to be faster than collecting 12 star power and using the poles.

After my last world record of this category (https://youtu.be/zWFbVjJ8-DU ) lost 6 minutes in the last 3 splits, I decided to do unrecorded practice runs of the last 22 stars, the fastest of which clocked in at 28:45.
I then went back to full runs of the category and got this run. The midgame wasnt as good as in my previous world record, but still good enough to stay on an almost even pace and cash in the timesave at the end.
I can recommend this category to anyone looking to run a highest-quality romhack that mostly focuses on forgiving, long-form movement without too many small platforms and sharp turns.")
