At the University of Colorado Denver, we’re actively strengthening our connections and building new ones. These connections link our university to our communities, to our city and state, to other schools and universities, and to industries outside higher education.
The result of those connections is clear. Our leading partnership with the Colorado Smart Cities Alliance helps us build critical workforce pipelines, strengthen diverse talent pools, and provide communities throughout Colorado access to new technologies to support the growth of Smart Cities. And as the City of Denver prepares to host city leaders from across the Western Hemisphere for the first-ever Cities Summit of the Americas this April 2023, CU Denver is reaching out to support this event and bring our expertise in democracy and public affairs to the forefront as a guiding force for partnership and growth.
True to this spirit of connection, I have also been finding more ways to get out and meet with changemakers across our local, national, and international communities. That’s why I launched a new video series, Chats with the Chancellor: Conversations with Michelle Marks. In the first episode, I speak with Tyler Svitak, the executive director of the Colorado Smart Cities Alliance. There are so many incredible things happening across Colorado, our nation, and the world. The CU Denver community is always asking the big questions and seeking big, bold solutions. But it takes strong connections with creative, innovative people and organizations outside our university to make a real impact.
