In this first round of the 1994 Ohio State playoffs two premiere athletes squared off against each other. For Fremont Ross, future 1997 Heisman Trophy winner and NFL All-Pro Charles Woodson #2. For Massillon Washington, All-American quarterback and future NFL player Willie Spencer #1.
Woodson had 231 yards rushing and four touchdowns. Spencer had over 200 yards total offense with two rushing touchdowns and two passing touchdowns.
