I went "back and forth" on whether to make this video public.
Okay I know that was a dumb joke, but in all seriousness posting this stuff is scary--BUT important.
As a singer I am told that if I "just get a big break" I'd be living easy.
That's only told to me by people who have not chosen singing as a full time career endeavor...
Many artists have warned me against the horrors of reality TV competitions --and luckily, despite my best efforts, I've never been chosen to perform on The Voice or American Idol. I have auditioned several times, spent lots of time and money training all to become a valuable contestant for their platforms.
I have finally come to the realization that maybe these shows aren't for me.
Maybe my brand is too scattered--but I like to keep it that way.
I like the fact that my voice can be used for operatic roles, belting the blues, and portraying children's cartoon characters!
I also think that the reality TV show avenue, for me, represents a get-rich-quick scheme and I have never truly benefited from those options in my life.
In the future, I will manifest projects that shoot my work to fame, but until then I think I'll just keep pluggin' away at doing my best to entertain all of you wonderful people!
