In this part, we scan all six of the Expedition Intel a.k.a. LifeSprings in the Grasslands Region. We also tackle the region's Moogle Intel and Classified Intel.

- Expedition Intel, or Lifesprings, are another type of World Intel found in each region. Lifesprings are large crystallized Materia Deposits that we must locate and scan to research the region. As we get close to their location, an owl will approach us and will then attempt to lead us to the Lifespring. Once at the Lifespring, we must press the X Button, with the correct timing, three times in order to scan the Lifespring. Scanning Lifesprings will give us lore about the region they belong to, as well as tell us the locations of both the Regional Boss via Classified Intel, the Excavation Intel in the region. Additionally, like all other World Intel, once we scan an Expedition Intel Lifespring, its location becomes a Fast-Travel location.
- Moogle Intel is found in every region and located inside a giant mushroom. Each region has at least one, while some have two. Our goal is to help the Moogles out by chasing the lazy mooglets towards the tree in the center of the map, while avoiding their traps and attacks. If we gather them all in the center, we win, and are able to access that region's Moogle Emporium for rare items. We have three hitpoints to work with in this mini-game, which are represented by us gaining a Moogle Antenna each time we are hit. Items in the Moogle Emporium, such as Manuscripts, can only be bought with Moogle Medals. Additionally, like all other World Intel, once we complete a Moogle Intel sequence, its location becomes a Fast-Travel location.
- Classified Intel is another form of World Intel found in each region. This intel is a Regional Boss fight that will drop a unique item for us to use in Item Transmuting, and will aid in future Side Quests/Odd Jobs. Additionally, like all other World Intel, once we defeat the Regional Boss, its location becomes a Fast-Travel location.
