The Channel Islands Sports Awards returned for their 11th year with a glittering awards ceremony held at Beau Sejour in Guernsey on Thursday 31st January.

Rob Jones and Mark McQuillan hosted the evening and looked back on a fantastic year for sport in the Channel Islands.

As ever there were six awards on offer throughout the evening, with the Sports Personality of the Year prize decided by a public vote on the night. The other five awards are:

Natwest Rising Star
Aurigny Junior Team of the Year
Cenkos Coach of the Year
Clydesdale Bank Team of the Year
Michael Lucas Sporting Hero

After the nominations deadline had passed the judging panel met and drew up a shortlist in each category. The panel consisted of;

Ron Felton (Jersey Evening Post)
Graham Chester (Guernsey Sports Commission)
Derek De La Haye (Jersey Sport and Culture)
