The Italian contingent in TAAC-W Herat, donated a generous gift to The Female Journalist Association in Herat earlier this year to support women in journalism. Afghan media and journalism has come a long way since the Taliban era, when media was banned and women were not allowed to work but women in journalism still face a lot of challenges and security issues.
