The Champlin Park girls soccer team lost its home opener Monday night, falling 1-0 to Eagan. Julianne Miller’s header goal 2:08 into the match was the only scoring of the night. Wildcats goalie Abby McGowan posted her third straight shutout to start the season as Eagan improved to 3-0-0 on the season. The Wildcats finished fourth in the state in Class AAA last season. The Rebels (0-2-0) play their first Northwest Suburban Conference game September 8th against Totino-Grace. Champlin Park finished last season 13-1-2.
