When wandering through Netopia Area, MegaMan encounters KnightMan, who challenges him to a honorable duel. During the battle, some of KnightMan's honour gets into MegaMan's folder, eating all of his long-range chips and locking the codes of his folder. KnightMan's body also looks sturdier this time, now only the sharpest sword could take him down...
But there is hope, MegaMan's weakest recovery chips escaped the grasp of KnightMan's honour and sneak into MegaMan's folder to help him.
