Each turn of the crankshaft pushes a measured amount of bar oil into the oil delivery channel, which then feeds directly onto the guide bar and chain.
This system is reliable because it’s mechanically driven — as long as the engine runs, the oil pump delivers lubrication in sync with the chain speed.
